A football pitch is composed of an end line and a sideline and divided into two halves with separate center and goal lines.
The length of the structure has varied over time. Nowadays, the dimensions have been unified by the FIFA association, so every pitch has the same dimensions. As of 2008, the standard is 105 meters long and 68 meters wide. In the past, the range was much larger. After all, a football field could be between 45 and 90 meters wide, with a length in the range of 90 to 120 meters. Thus, players could encounter a wide variety of pitches in their careers. Now all of them must have predetermined dimensions.
